Breast cancer had always been very prevalent in Aimee Dinschel’s life. So many family members had been impacted — her mother, two sisters, aunts and cousins. It was always something lurking in the back of her mind.

Learning that she had a PALB2 mutation should have felt frightening, but it was actually very empowering because she now had options and measures she could take to reduce her risk of also getting breast cancer.
