Research shows that among patients with breast cancer, there is a strong interest in medical cannabis to manage treatment symptoms and side effects.
In a survey of patients with breast cancer who were members of online health communities, researchers asked about experiences, reasons for use and perceptions about cannabis. Nearly half of participants reported cannabis use to address side effects and symptoms.
However, most patients did not discuss cannabis use with their healthcare providers. These results suggest that it may be helpful for health care providers to initiate a conversation about medical cannabis use with their patients.

Hopefully this bill will help address some of the issues surrounding genetic testing, genetic counseling, and insurance coverage for those who might be at risk for hereditary cancer. My wife died of a cancer that was totally preventable. Nobody should die of a preventable cancer.
