LiveLung, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting lung cancer patients, survivors, and their care partners, invites the CSRA’s lung cancer community to its educational meeting on Tuesday, October 14, at 11:30 a.m.The free event, which includes a complimentary lunch, will take place at The Kroc Center- 1833 Broad St., Augusta, GA 30904.
This month’s meeting will feature Holli Childs, Manager of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Piedmont Augusta, presenting “The Role of Pulmonary Rehabilitation.” Holli leads a multidisciplinary team of exercise physiologists, respiratory therapists, and registered nurses dedicated to improving the lives of patients with chronic lung disease. The Piedmont Augusta Pulmonary Rehabilitation team provides individualized exercise training, education, and support to help patients breathe easier, increase endurance, and regain confidence in daily activities.
“Pulmonary rehabilitation is more than exercise—it’s about restoring hope and independence. Watching patients walk back into our program smiling, breathing easier, and living fuller lives reminds us why this work matters so deeply,” said Childs.
