Wellness in 2020, might be at the tip of your fingers. As we move into February, general statistics often suggest most individuals have gotten away from their New Year Resolutions and have reverted back into the typical habits of their daily life. Making wellness and improving well-being to me is a lifelong commitment, well after January ends.
As we age our needs in maintaining wellness change in addition to managing an active cancer diagnosis or in managing a current status of NED, otherwise known as no evidence of disease. This wellness card can be used for co-payments to a doctor's office, prescription medications, vision checks, corrective lenses and select other approved items and services. The savings can add up.
This year I will have earned $170.00 on my wellness card after completing one final goal. The cost savings are great when you think about it as it essentially reduces the initial account of out of pocket payments your making before regular benefits kick in. Other advances include having information about your health linked into your wellness portal. Lab results from your annual physical can be available in your account to help determine the healthy goals you need to be aware of, in regard to your age and any risk levels, which might come up from completing your annual health assessment.
Different assessments and healthy goals may include improving mood, reducing stress, improving upon healthy eating, managing weight, obtaining help with smoking cessation, managing hypertension, or other numerous topics depending on your needs and the diversity of the programs.
