Lauren Belive, Senior Federal Government Relations Manager at Lyft, discusses the company's Treatment Transport program.

Lyft, a ride share service, teamed up with a local nonprofit, Boston Cancer Support, to offer rides for low-income patients with cancer to and from their treatment. Transportation is a major barrier that many patients face, and providing them safe and free or low-cost options could improve their health outcomes.

While the program is currently only running in Boston, Belive mentioned that she would like to see the program be expanded throughout the nation.
